Yahaya Salimu Adamu is a dedicated and results-driven rural development specialist with a bachelor's degree in rural development from Sokoine University of Agriculture (SUA). With over 4 years of experience working with rural communities in Tanzania, he brings proven expertise in community development, food security, and sustainable agriculture
He served as a project officer at Research, Community, and Organizational Development Associate (RECODA), where he helped implement the Local Value Chain Development Project in partnership with World Vision Tanzania on a poultry-keeping and agricultural production project in Kasulu district, Kigoma region. In these roles, he was responsible for community mobilization, training farmers in Poultry keeping, good agricultural practices, and post-harvest handling, forming and strengthening farmers' groups, and linking smallholder farmers to markets.
Yahaya possesses strong skills in project planning and implementation, the Rural Initiatives for Participatory Agriculture Transformation (RIPAT), Participatory rural appraisal, training facilitation, and report writing. He is fluent in English and Kiswahili, computer literate, and has a strong ability to work effectively with rural communities, NGOs, and local government authorities. He is committed to improving livelihoods and ensuring food and nutrition security for smallholder farmers in Tanzania.
