Salome James Kasake is an experienced Community Nutritionist with expertise in nutrition programming, social and behaviour change (SBC), gender and social inclusion, and nutrition-sensitive agriculture. She currently serves as a Nutritionist at RECODA under the NOURISH Project, supporting the integration of nutrition, gender-responsive approaches, and community-led behaviour change within food security and climate-resilient agriculture programming.

Her work focuses on strengthening the capacity of community health workers, farmers, and local government stakeholders to promote improved nutrition practices, household food production, and equitable household resource allocation. She works across six districts in Dodoma, Singida, and Manyara regions, collaborating with government authorities, development partners, and community structures.

Salome holds a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Human Nutrition from Sokoine University of Agriculture (SUA). Her professional and research interests include community nutrition, nutrition-sensitive agriculture, food and nutrition security, gender-responsive SBC, and the Positive Deviance Approach.
