Namsifuel Joseph Mahimbo is a Tanzanian agricultural and rural development professional with more than 30 years of experience in project management, agricultural extension, food security, community mobilization, and livelihood development. She holds a Diploma in Crop Production from Uyole Agricultural Institute and a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from the Open University of Tanzania.
Throughout her career, she has worked with government institutions and development organizations, including Uyole Agricultural Centre, VETA Mbeya, Compassion Tanzania, VETAID Tanzania, and RECODA. Her expertise includes participatory agricultural development approaches such as RIPAT and SIPAT, farmer training, poultry production, farmer market school facilitation, village savings and loan associations, and community-based livelihood initiatives.
At RECODA, she has contributed to agricultural and rural development projects in several regions of Tanzania, collaborating with farmers, government extension officers, and development partners to strengthen agricultural production, promote food security, and improve household livelihoods. She is passionate about sustainable agriculture, participatory community development, and empowering farming communities to achieve lasting improvements in their well-being.
